Summary

Fifty years after the Clean Water Act, America's infrastructure is showing its age. In March, the American Society of Civil Engineers assigned Wastewater Infrastructure a grade of D+. While overall infrastructure improved to a C rating, Wastewater infrastructure failed to improve, constantly earning a D+ rating since 2013. Lift Station operators face other challenges as well. Fats, Oils, and Grease (FOG), rags, and debris in the wastewater stream cause additional maintenance and repair expenses. Inefficient pumping operations can lead to a municipality increasing rates due to increased energy and operational costs.

In this webinar, we will learn how to utilize VFDs to build reliability into pump and lift stations while future-proofing your infrastructure.

Key takeaways:

  • Strategies for future proofing pump and lift stations
  • How to utilize modern VFDs and SCADA predictive and preventive maintenance functions to improve pump and lift station robustness
  • Automate pump or lift station de-ragging by implementing anti-clogging routines
  • Key considerations to initial parametrization and startup of inverters
