GE Money Tapped by Water Master For Consumer Financing Program

Sept. 21, 2006

GE Money’s Retail Sales Finance unit announced a multi-year agreement with Water Master, Inc., an international leader in residential, commercial and industrial water treatment and filtration systems, to provide consumer financing programs for its 230 dealers nationwide.

Beginning this month, the GE Money AquaVantage card will be available to Water Master customers for the purchase of home water treatment systems and accessories. Through the AquaVantage program, participating dealers will be able to help customers complete an easy application and quick approval process and extend competitive rates and promotional terms like deferred interest.

“Water Master is an innovator in water quality products,” said Gary Slagle, vice president of GE Money’s Home Utility division. “They are well entrenched in the industry, with a proven business model. A consumer financing program will help make it easier for their retailers to close more sales and continue to grow in the market.”

Headquartered in Barrie, Ontario, Water Master has offices in Harrisburg, Penn., and Cheshire, England. The company manufactures mineral tanks, filters and water treatment products, which are exported to 29 countries. It also stocks components and replacement parts for all brand name industry products. Water Master is a full service company, providing customer service, technical support, and re-conditioning of control valves and components within the water treatment industry.

“GE Money is a great fit for our company,” said Jesse Rodriguez, vice president sales and marketing of Water Master. “Their name recognition is reassuring to customers, and they have a great reputation for customer service. Both are important reasons we chose to work with GE Money.”
