American PureTex Water Announces Bottled Water Plant Construction

Jan. 17, 2005

The Board of Directors of American PureTex Water Corporation announced its intent to construct the world’s largest bottled water plant, which in turn will create approximately 380 sustainable jobs in rural South Central Texas.

Dr. George Abbey, Chairman Emeritus of Houston-based PureTex Water, indicated that "PureTex is in an excellent position to provide major economic development and sustainable jobs in its operating area - and in doing so will utilize only a fraction of its available natural resources." He continued, "Our objective is to become the largest, lowest cost, highest-quality bottled water producer in the world." PureTex will commence the site selection process immediately and will locate the plant in either Austin, Colorado, or Wharton counties. The plant will source its production water from area wells owned by PureTex and/or its development partners.

The water from these well fields have been independently characterized as high-yield, extremely pure, and is sourced from a historically high recharge zone. PureTex Water has already attracted interest from major bottled water OEM distributors, and has received quotations for construction, which call for the plant to be completed 11 months after breaking ground. Date of first production is expected in the first quarter of 2006. The facility will employ approximately 380 people and produce at an estimated capacity of 150 million cases of one-half (1?2) liter bottles of water per year.

American PureTex Water Corporation is a privately held concern owned by natural resource conservationists that understand the long term importance of safe clean high quality drinking water.
