WWEMA/W&WD Scholarship Deadline Approaches

The deadline to submit applications for the Water & Wastes Digest/Wastewater Equipment Manufacturer’s Assn. closes Friday, Oct. 20. Each year, W&WD and WWEMA open nominations for a $1,000 scholarship to support future water and wastewater professionals. The scholarship is for students seeking a career in water- or wastewater- related fields.

To qualify for the scholarship, students must have a parent employed by a WWEMA-member company and must be accepted into a four-year bachelor’s program in an acceptable field of study by an accredited institution of higher learning. Examples of acceptable fields of study include biology, cheical engineering, chemistry, civil engineering, environmental engineering, environmental sciences and/or natural resources planning.
