Veteran Biosolids Engineer Joins Stantec

Charles Alix, P.E., joins firm as senior associate in Environmental Infrastructure div.

Charles Alix, P.E., a 30-year veteran of the civil engineering industry, has joined consulting firm Stantec as a senior associate in its Environmental Infrastructure div. Alix specializes in the design, evaluation and feasibility analysis of biosolids and odor control facilities, including general layout, materials and air-handling systems and processing systems.

Based in Stantec’s Westford, Mass., office, Alix comes to the firm from MHW Americas where he led similar companywide efforts. He is an active member of several industry organizations, including the Water Environment Federation, and has authored a number of WEF manuals and other publications about biosolids management. A registered professional engineer in Massachusetts, Alix is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.

Stantec provides professional consulting services in planning, engineering, architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, surveying, environmental sciences, project management and project economics for infrastructure and facilities projects.
