Red Lion Names Daniel Gao Vice President of Sales for Asia Pacific

Red Lion Controls, a company focusing on communication, monitoring and control for industrial automation and networking, announced the appointment of Daniel Gao as vice president of sales for Asia Pacific (APAC). Based in Shanghai, Daniel reports directly to Red Lion President Mike Granby and serves on the executive team.

Prior to Red Lion, Daniel served as a sales and marketing director for TE Connectivity Shanghai. Earlier in his career, he also held executive sales positions at Honeywell Sensing and Controls, Vishay Transducer, Rohde and Schwartz, Compuwave Technologies and Spirax Sarco Engineering.

“Daniel is an experienced international executive with a strong track record of sales in China and throughout Asia,” said Granby. “As the Industrial Internet of Things continues to grow in Asia, Daniel will play an important role in driving sales of Red Lion’s industrial automation and networking products in the region and helping establish our position as a global IIoT provider.”

Daniel has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and statistics from Zhongshan University and a master’s degree in computing from the University of Bradford.

“The IIoT presents a unique opportunity for Red Lion and for our customers, and I look forward to growing the business in Asia and enhancing our leadership position in the automation and networking markets,” commented Gao.
