Perlman to Serve On Isco Board of Directors

The Board of Directors of Isco, Inc. has nominated Harvey S. Perlman, J.D., to stand for election to the board at the Annual Shareholders' Meeting, scheduled for Dec. 12. He will fill the vacancy created by Philip M. Wittig, who is retiring from the board.

"We are pleased that Harvey has agreed to serve on our board," said Robert Allington, Isco chairman. "His career includes many years of experience in varied leadership, management, and teaching positions. We look forward to Harvey's fresh insights and perspectives as we continue to develop and implement strategies to improve the sales and profitability of the company.

"On behalf of the board, I would like to extend our deep thanks to Phil Wittig for his wise counsel and his contributions during his many years with Isco, as an executive and as a board member," Allington added. "All of us at Isco wish Phil well in his retirement."

Perlman is the Chancellor of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He is responsible for providing leadership, vision, and administrative management for UNL. A professor of law, Perlman was dean of the College of Law at UNL for 15 years. He served one year as acting senior vice chancellor for academic affairs. He was a member of the University of Virginia Law School faculty for eight years. He has also been a visiting professor at Florida State University College of Law, the University of Puget Sound School of Law, and the University of Iowa College of Law. He earned his juris doctor and Bachelor's degrees from the University of Nebraska.

Perlman currently is chairman of the board of the UNL Technology Development Corp., which serves as the technology transfer mechanism between UNL and the private sector. He also serves on the boards of the Nebraska State Bar Foundation and the Big XII Conference.

Isco, with annual sales of nearly $60 million, produces water quality monitoring products such as wastewater samplers and open channel flow meters. The company's liquid chromatography customers include pharmaceutical laboratories involved in drug discovery and development. On-line process control instruments are produced by STIP-Isco for worldwide distribution.
