Godwin Pumps Names Hager N.C. Branch Manager, Slaff Director of Marketing

Godwin Pumps recently named Howard B. Slaff as director of marketing, and Garry F. Hager as branch manager of its location in Charlotte, N.C.

In Slaff’s new position, he will be responsible for Godwin’s integrated marketing campaign to increase rentals and sales, and enhance brand presence worldwide.

Before joining Godwin Pumps, Slaff held various sales and marketing positions throughout his 23 year career with Baker Hughes (Baker Petrolite Polymers Division), a a provider of chemical, engineering and technological solutions to the hydrocarbon recovery and processing industries.

Slaff holds a Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing and Finance from Oklahoma State University and has completed various courses in product development, pricing and strategic development from institutions including the MIT Sloan School of Management and The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Hager will be responsible for sales and operations of the rental branch including business development in the construction, industrial, municipal/government, environmental and mining and aggregates markets.

Hager spent 16 years with ABS Pumps (The Cardo Group) working with submersible pumps, aeration equipment, blowers and mixers, beginning with inside sales and operations management responsibilities and concluding with responsibility for the entire southeast region. Hager also has experience with electric motors, gearboxes and drives, heavy capital equipment sales and automotive repair.

Hager holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Farleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ and is a graduate of the Lincoln Technical Institute (Union, NJ) Automotive Technical training program.
