EMCOR Group, Inc. Subsidiary Receives Contract for Nanofiltration Water Facility

Poole & Kent Company of Florida to construct 14.5 million gpd facility

EMCOR Group, Inc. announced that its subsidiary Poole & Kent Company of Florida has been awarded a contract to construct, equip and performance test a 14.5 million gpd nanofiltration water facility in Jupiter, Fla. The value of the contract is $36.6 million.

Poole & Kent Company of Florida will perform work on the following supportive structures and facilities: nanofiltration and pretreatment buildings; pretreatment filtration, nanofiltration process, bulk chemical storage and transfer and chemical feed equipment; nanofiltration cleaning facilities; electrical, instrumentation and control systems; emergency generator and fuel storage and conveyance facilities; and ancillary building services, including HVAC and plumbing.

“Towns and municipalities in Florida and across the country are requiring and demanding increasingly high-tech facilities and systems to address complex water resource challenges, which must be met in order to ensure the delivery of vital services to their citizens,” said Steve Jordan, president and CEO of Poole & Kent Company of Florida. “Water and particularly water treatment issues will persist as water shortages become more frequent as a result of aquifer depletion combined with the migration of the U.S. population south and west. As in Florida, EMCOR is uniquely positioned across the country to design, install and maintain innovative water solutions to contribute to the quality of life for millions of people.”
