Zenon Appoints New VPs

May 21, 2003

ZENON Environmental Inc., a global leader of membrane technologies for water treatment and reuse, has appointed a new vice president of international sales and a new vice president of Municipal Systems.

Diana Mourato has been named vice president of international sales and will assume the role effective immediately. The move is designed to further strengthen and enhance international sales for the company.

Prior to her new position, Dr. Mourato was the company's Vice President, Municipal Systems Inc., where she and her team are credited with establishing ZENON as a key player in the membrane market. Dr. Mourato was successful in building this division from $0 in sales to becoming the largest membrane system supplier in North America over the last six years.

"In light of Dr. Mourato's strong sales and business development experience, the Board of Directors unanimously agreed that she would be the best candidate to assume the position of Vice President of International Sales," commented Andrew Benedek, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ZENON.

Steve Watzeck has assumed the role of vice president of Municipal Systems Inc. In his new position, he will focus on growing ZENON's market share in Canada and the United States. Prior to this, Mr. Watzeck was Director North America Municipal Systems Inc., and was responsible for all municipal sales activities.

"I am excited about these new appointments." said Dr. Benedek. "Sales opportunities in both the International and North American markets are rapidly increasing at this time. ZENON is fortunate to have the right, experienced people in place to take advantage of the growing demand for our products."
