Yeager Appointed President of Emerson Process Systems Business

June 5, 2003

Robert Yeager has been named president of the Process Systems business unit of Emerson Process Management, a business of Emerson. Process Systems develops automation systems and software that are key components of Emerson's PlantWeb® digital plant architecture, including the DeltaV™ digital automation system.

Yeager replaces Tom Snead, who now heads Emerson Process Management's Systems and Solutions business, including the Process Systems, Process Solutions, and Power & Water Solutions businesses.

John Berra, president of Emerson Process Management, said in announcing Yeager's appointment that "Bob's strength is that he knows the process automation and software business from the bottom up, and he is committed to the needs of our customers."

Yeager brings over 20 years of process market experience to his new position. He started his career with TRW as a software design engineer, then joined Westinghouse (now Emerson Process Management Power and Water Solutions) as a systems engineer in 1982. He held positions of increasing responsibility there, including manager of Control and IS Integration, manager of Strategic Engineering and finally, vice president of Sales, Marketing and Engineering.

In February 2001, Yeager was named president of Intellution. Intellution provided underlying human-machine interface technology for the DeltaV system and, at the time of his appointment, was an Emerson division. Bob played an instrumental role in the sale of Intellution to General Electric in October 2002, and as mutually agreed by Emerson and GE, successfully led the transition of ownership before returning to Emerson.

Bob holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from Carnegie Mellon and a master's in computer science from the University of Pittsburgh.
