WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff Promotes Steven Paquette

New president of U.S. water and environment business brings 32 years of experience

Steven Paquette has been appointed president of the U.S. water and environment business unit at WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global engineering and professional services organization.

This business line comprises 450 employees based in 25 offices across the U.S., delivering water and environment planning, design, and consulting services to domestic and multinational clients in the private and public sectors.

Paquette joined WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff in 2015 and has directed the firm’s water business, which provides a range of water and wastewater engineering services to municipalities, government agencies and utility companies. The firm’s environment services include site investigation and remediation, environmental compliance, acoustics, vibration and air quality, health and safety, sustainability, climate resiliency, and greenhouse gas management.

Paquette has 32 years of senior management experience at major consulting engineering organizations. Prior to joining WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, he was national sales manager at a global infrastructure engineering company, where he also served as national water-wastewater business line leader. Previously, he founded and served as president of Groundwater Technology Government Services, a national environmental restoration firm providing environmental and remediation consulting services to state and federal clients. As a senior vice president at a national engineering organization, he led government programs while also serving as program manager for $500-million Superfund restoration program for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Paquette received an executive M.B.A. from the University of California and a B.S. in environmental engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is the chairman of the water infrastructure committee at the Association for the Improvement of American Infrastructure. Additional professional affiliations include the American Water Works Assn., Water Environment Federation, and Women’s Transportation Seminar.
