Woodard & Curran Welcomes New Vice President

Woodard & Curran is pleased to announce that Paul Dombrowski, P.E., P.L.S., DEE of Holyoke, Mass. has joined the firm as vice president based in the firm’s Cheshire, Conn. office.

Dombrowski is a professional engineer and professional land surveyor with nearly 20 years of civil and environmental engineering experience, specializing in wastewater treatment for municipal and industrial clients primarily throughout Southern New England. He is particularly well known for his practical, hands-on approach with the evaluation, design and troubleshooting of a wide variety of treatment systems, especially biological and chemical nutrient removal processes.

Dombrowski served as a chapter author of the recently published Water Environment Federation (WEF) Manual of Practice entitled “Operation of Biological Nutrient Removal Wastewater Treatment Plants.” He also served as a technical reviewer for the remainder of that document as well as the WEF book “Upgrade and Retrofitting of Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants.”

Dombrowski has been a technical presenter at engineering and wastewater operator association meetings and is the past chair of the New England Water Environment Association (NEWEA) Plant Operations Committee. His contributions were recently recognized by NEWEA with the 2006 Alfred E. Peloquin Award for contributions to the wastewater operations profession in Connecticut.

A graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering and a Master of Science degree in environmental engineering, Dombrowski is a board-certified Diplomate of the American Academy of Environmental Engineers. Prior to joining Woodard & Curran, he worked as a Senior Project Manager at Tighe & Bond.
