Strategic partnership to strengthen global competitiveness of U.S. water industry
SplashLink and the Department of Commerce International Trade Administration (ITA) have entered a strategic partnership that will accelerate access to business-critical information and connections for the water industry.
“Water stress is on the rise all over the world, and U.S. companies have a role to play in providing solutions. SplashLink is a natural strategic partner to help U.S. companies better respond to challenges faced by communities as well as water-intensive industries, such as agriculture and energy in other parts of the world,” said Hector Rodriguez, environmental technology global team leader for the ITA. “Their ability to expedite connections between people, funding, problems, and solutions will provide unparalleled response to water challenges small and large, both locally and globally.”
“The ITA is a critical resource for helping companies reach markets in need,” said Ebie Holst, CEO of SplashLink. “Our partnership with the ITA provides us the opportunity to explore how we can better connect industry players quickly and seamlessly, as well as track market needs and insights to inform commerce and environmental policies. We’re excited to work with such a responsive and innovative team.”
Companies and communities around the world deal with water challenges that include systems, infrastructure, water quality and contamination, drought and scarcity, storm-related conditions, and issues at the water energy and water food nexus. SplashLink will now play a role among the suite of export promotion services offered by the ITA.
