Biostyr and Biostyr Duo systems improve treatment of wastewater by combining fixed-film biology with filtration into a single process. This provides high effluent quality within a fraction (10% to 20%) of the footprint of activated sludge systems. Biostyr is suitable for nitrification and/or denitrification, while Biostyr Duo offers dual media (both fixed and moving media bed) layers to achieve complete treatment of biochemical oxygen demand and ammonia in a single system.
