Water Charities Participate in Giving Tuesday

Dec. 2, 2014
#GivingTuesday is a worldwide day dedicated to giving back by donating to charities

Taking place today, Dec. 2, 2014—the Tuesday after Thanksgiving—#GivingTuesday will use the power of social media to create a national moment around the holidays dedicated to giving, similar to how Black Friday and Cyber Monday have become synonymous with holiday shopping. Designed to harness the collective power of a blend of partners to transform how people think about, talk about and participate in the giving season, #GivingTuesday will inspire people to take collaborative action to improve their local communities, give back in better, smarter ways to the charities and causes they support and help create a better world.

In honor of #GivingTuesday, Neptune Technology Group will match dollar-for-dollar the first $10,000 of donations made today to Water for People

WateReuse also is participating in #GivingTuesday. Tax deductible contributions help the organization raise awareness about the need to develop safe and reliable supplies of water for communities across the nation.

WateReuse is the only not-for-profit, charitable organization dedicated to scientific research that ensures water is purified for its designated purpose—from irrigation to manufacturing to drinking water. Contributions will help WateReuse develop educational tools to get its message on water to families and communities around the nation.
