House Booster Pump Stations

April 13, 2021

Like many municipalities, the City of Oak Lawn was facing problems with aging infrastructure. Additionally, they were also concerned with confined spaces. Metropolitan Industries was able to help the city solve the issue by providing them with a prefabricated housed water booster station.

Metropolitan combines custom engineering and control solutions to design, build, and deliver complete housed systems. Housed systems protect equipment from the environment and can eliminate below-grade structures that are typically considered confined workspaces. Our custom-engineered housed pumping systems are available in a variety of materials and options and can be shipped to job sites pre-piped, pre-wired, pre-tested, and ready for immediate field connection.

Housed systems include a variety of pumping equipment and controls configured to each customer's needs. Oak Lawn's system included a quadruplex pumping system (capable of delivering 10,000 GPM through 24" piping with a PLC-based control system) and a PLC-based control system connected to our cloud SCADA software MetroCloud.
