What started as a journalism career took a pivot for Chelsea Boozer. She moved to Arkansas and began working public relations for Central Arkansas Water. Just a few years later, she has become the government affairs manager for the utility and has elevated her status in the industry through her work with the American Water Works Association Young Professionals Committee and educational sessions on improving utility communications.

Boozer explains why industry involvement and young professionals events are vital for creating passionate and invested employees, and how communications are the foundation of establishing trust and buy-in with communities and customers.
