UV Pure Sells Control Position to Clearford Water Systems

Clearford purchased a 91% interest in UV Pure in a transaction expected to close on or before Dec. 10, 2014

Clearford Water Systems Inc., based in Ottawa, Ontario, has purchased a 91% interest in UV Pure Technologies effective Oct. 31, 2014. The transaction is expected to close on or before Dec. 10, 2014.

“Clearford and UV Pure know each other well, having worked together commercially since 2012,” said Rick VanSant, president and CEO of UV Pure. “Clearford is a long-standing UV Pure customer that uses our patented UV disinfection systems as the final stage in its wastewater treatment solution Clearford One. Clearford is also UV Pure’s exclusive distribution partner in the Colombian market. Our leadership team will remain shareholders of UV Pure Technologies, and is excited to begin the next chapter of UV Pure’s growth story in partnership with Clearford Water Systems.”
