T. David Chinn, Robert Iacullo & Steve Maxwell joined the board this April

The U.S. Water Alliance added three new directors to its board in April.

“These nationally-recognized leaders will boost all of our efforts on the value of water and business of sustainability,” said President Ben Grumbles.

Joining the board of directors are:

T. David Chinn is the director of the drinking water program and senior vice president for water in the Americas at Aecom. Formerly with the America Water Works Assn. in Washington, D.C., he is credited with coining the often-repeated phrase, “Water is to the economy of the 21st century as oil was to the economy of the last century. It is the fuel of our economic engines of the future.” He has authored or co-authored four books and published more than 55 articles and papers concerning water supply and drinking water. Based in Austin, Texas, Chinn is a member of the engineering faculty at Texas A&M University.

Robert Iacullo is the executive vice president of United Water. He has overall responsibility for supporting the company’s regulated and environmental services business lines. Iacullo is a commissioner of the New Jersey Water Supply Authority. He is also a member of the board of directors of the Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey, Choose New Jersey, the National Association of Water Companies, serving as its president in 2007, the New Jersey Utilities Assn. and the Bergen County (N.J.) United Way.

Steve Maxwell formed Techknowledgey Strategic Group in 1992 to provide consulting and advisory services to the environmental and water resource industries. He has been instrumental in advising and assisting on over fifty successful acquisition transactions in the commercial water and environmental industry. Maxwell is the editor of the Water Market Review—one of the industry’s most comprehensive reviews of current trends, developments, and competitive data. He is the author of “The Future of Water”—an in-depth look at the future of our global water challenge.

The Alliance thanked retiring directors Kristin Mayes, director of sustainability and professor, Arizona State University Law School; and John Batten, vice president, Arcadis.
