2017 Top Water & Wastewater Projects

Dec. 13, 2017
Water & Wastes Digest highlights industry innovation

While President Donald J. Trump’s infrastructure plan promises an influx of funding for infrastructure improvements for water and wastewater projects, it has not yet been finalized. That has not stopped the industry from completing impressive projects across the country.

Water & Wastes Digest (W&WD) encouraged project leaders to submit entries showcasing industry-specific projects in design or construction during the past 18 months. Nominated projects differed in terms of goal, size and price. Some were determined to save energy, like the Kenosha Water Utlity, while others aimed to expand operations while being a good neighbor as seen in the Olde Towne Daphne project. This year’s winners were selected based on the variety of obstacles faced and overcome by all parties involved with the projects, as well as final goals achieved and success met.

New this year is the inclusion of augmented reality (AR). A box on each page indicates the digital content you access. Download and open the Blippar app on your phone and hover your device over a page to access additional photos or video of the projects.

Thanks to all project leaders who submitted entries and photos, and congratulations to everyone honored in W&WD’s 2017 Top Projects.
