Stockholm Water Prize Acquires New Co-Sponsors

Borealis and Borouge, leading providers of innovative, value-creating plastic solutions, have become co-sponsors of the prestigious Stockholm Water Prize, contributing to the promotion and reward of leadership and best practices in water and sanitation.

Borealis and Borouge’s co-sponsorship of the renowned Stockholm Water Prize rewards and supports world-class best practices and scientific progress to address water and sanitation challenges.

First presented in 1991, the Stockholm Water Prize is an international award presented yearly to an individual, organisation or institution for outstanding water-related activities in the fields of aid, awareness building and education, technology, management or science. The award includes a USD 150,000 award and a crystal sculpture. The Prize Laureate is announced each March on UN World Water Day and honoured each August at a Royal Prize Ceremony and Banquet in the Stockholm City Hall during the World Water Week in Stockholm. The Prize was founded by Swedish and international companies in co-operation with the City of Stockholm.
