TaKaDu announced it is expanding its activities in Australia and New Zealand, with the opening of its first regional office. TaKaDu has also announced the appointment of Paul Banfield to the role of sales director for Australia and New Zealand.
Paul Banfield is joining TaKaDu from Innovyze, where he served as operations director for Asia Pacific. Paul brings to TaKaDu his deep knowledge and expertise in the water network software space in Australia and globally, having spent the past 15 years in Wallingford Software (now part of Innovyze), a provider of asset management and resource management solutions.
“Water Network Monitoring is gaining recognition and popularity in Australia, as water utilities realize they can now leverage their existing investments in data acquisition and telemetry to take full control over their network”, said Amir Peleg, founder & CEO of TaKaDu. “Paul’s experience in water network software sales and marketing is indispensable, as we look to grow our activities in the region. Since our successful rollout of TaKaDu in Yarra Valley Water, we have seen tremendous interest in our solution, and the new office will certainly give a significant boost to the work done by our people and our local partners.”
“Water utilities in Australia and New Zealand are facing significant challenges related to operational efficiency, increasing energy costs, water loss reduction and resource stress”, said Paul Banfield. “In my 15 years in the water space, TaKaDu is the most significant leap forward I have come across, and I am proud to take an active part in bringing it to the market.”
TaKaDu will be speaking and showcasing its solutions in the upcoming International Water Assn. congress and exhibition, Sept. 16 to 20 in Busan, Korea.
