Aseem Sharma Joins Sensorex

New president brings global management experience

Sensorex appointed Aseem Sharma president of the company, which is a designer and manufacturer of sensors and instrumentation for real-time water analysis.

In his new role, Sharma will be responsible for strategic management of Sensorex’s global operations. The company’s electrochemical and optical sensors measure pH, ORP, UV transmittance, dissolved oxygen, free chlorine, chlorine dioxide and other specialty elements. Its sensors, instrumentation, and accessories are used in a wide range of OEM, industrial and municipal water, laboratory, agricultural and manufacturing applications.

Sharma brings extensive global management experience in a variety of industries to his role at Sensorex. Most recently, he was Vice President of Strategic Partnership for Amryris Inc., a renewable chemicals company. Prior to that, he was with Owens Corning, as general manager of its North American Building and Composite Materials business.

Sharma developed his international experience during his tenure with Corning Inc., where he moved from director of strategy planning and business development to president of Corning South Asia in New Delhi, India. His career started in the water businesses of ABB and W.R. Grace (now GE Water), bringing him full circle as he returns to the water industry at Sensorex. Sharma earned an MBA from Lehigh University and a chemical engineering degree from the Indian Institute of Technology.
