Dr. Jovito Y. Deauna, 72, founder of the Aquaclean company and president of the Water Quality Association of the Philippines, passed away May 30. He was born in 1931 in Paracale, Camarines Norte, Philippines. He is survived by his wife Delia and sons Jodel and Jovito, and daughters Marvy and Delva.

In 1989, Deauna founded the company that eventually became Aquaclean. Deauna worked with the Philippine Department of Health and was an active member of the Philippine Waterworks Association. He also served as a member of the WQA Membership Marketing Committee, the WQA World Assembly Advisory Board and the World Assembly Education, Legal and Ethics Task Force.
