Presented with Sunshine State Safety Recognition Award for initiatives implemented

Moving Water Industries announced that they had been awarded the prestigious Sunshine State Safety Recognition Award by the University of South Florida's SafetyFlorida program. USF SafetyFlorida presented the award in recognition of MWI's implementation and maintenance of sound safety initiatives, including effective injury and illness prevention programs, to better protect its employees.

"Earning a Sunshine State Safety Recognition Award acknowledges the entire MWI team's commitment to safety," said Dana Eller, president of MWI. "It takes a team effort involving management and employees to integrate safety as an ongoing business practice and implementing safety initiatives to better protect our employees in something MWI takes great pride in."

The award was the culmination of an onsite audit by USF SafetyFlorida which involved a comprehensive evaluation of all of MWI's written accident prevention management programs as well as interviews with employees to evaluate actual worksite conditions. To be eligible to receive this award, MWI was required to be free of any willful or repeat citations issued by OSHA within the previous 24-month period as well as no serious citations related to injury or exposure within the preceding 12 months.
