Teresa Rios claims her father’s former position on the agency’s board

The Rowland Water District Board of Directors appointed and swore-in Teresa P. Rios to fill the position left vacant by her late father, Rene Rios. Rios says she is pleased to continue her father’s legacy on the water agency’s board of directors.

“I learned a great deal from my father about the needs of our community, and look forward to continuing the work of making Rowland Water District an effective, reliable and dedicated public agency," said Rios.

Rios will represent the residents of West Covina where she has lived for more than 30 years. After her graduation from Nogales High School in 1987, she attended Four-D College in Colton. She is a licensed vocational nurse and currently volunteers at Hollingworth Elementary as secretary for the Parent Teachers Organization there. Rios is deeply committed to her volunteer work within the community, and is pleased to have yet another arena in which to serve.
