RJN Group, Inc., a consulting engineering and specialty field services firm, has hired Charles Poskas as senior project manager in its Baltimore office. Poskas brings nearly two decades of professional experience to RJN.
Throughout his career as an engineer and manager, Poskas has completed master planning and CIP development, detail design, SSO and CSO elimination studies, RDI/I reduction studies, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, and construction supervision. Poskas has a well-balanced background in the study, design and construction of wastewater collection systems that makes him highly qualified to lead RJN teams out of Baltimore.
Poskas is a registered professional engineer in Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, and Tennessee. He earned both a B.S. in Natural Resources and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Kentucky. He is a member of ASCE, AWWA, Chi Epsilon, KY-TN WEA and WEF. He served in leadership roles in multiple ad-hoc and established committees and as vice president for KY-TN WEA. He has authored or coauthored a dozen articles in the field of collection system engineering, including the 2009 Ohio ASCE Infrastructure Report Card.
As senior project manager, Poskas will oversee operations in the Baltimore area, which includes many major projects currently underway or scheduled to begin soon. His dedication to a better environment, community building and excellent customer service make him a strong fit for RJN’s own objectives and mission. As Poskas put it, “RJN’s values and commitment to their clients are similar to mine. It is refreshing to find an organization that remembers how important it is to treat each person and customer with respect.”
In this role, Poskas looks forward to helping RJN innovate and develop cost-effective solutions for local communities. In doing so, Poskas said, he hopes “to create opportunities for outreach, inclusion, and growth.”
