Puronics Appoints CFO

Puronics, Inc., a leading manufacturer of water treatment systems for the consumer and commercial markets, announced the appointment of Mark H. Cosmez II as chief financial officer.

“Mark has a proven track record in leading manufacturing and service companies, and we are very excited about this addition to the management team,” said Scott Batiste, chairman and CEO of Puronics. “Mark’s diverse financial and operating expertise, combined with his breadth of experience in manufacturing, will play an instrumental role at Puronics. His contributions will be invaluable as we continue to expand our Ionics Consumer Water business and move into a new phase of market growth.”

Cosmez brings 30 years of financial experience from public companies as well as several high-growth corporations. He served most recently as vice president and CFO of Giga-tronics, Inc., a leading manufacturer of instruments, sub-systems and sophisticated microwave components that have broad applications in both commercial and military wireless telecommunications systems. Prior to that, he served as CFO at Pacific Bell, Public Communications Division. He has also held senior financial positions at International Microcomputer Software, Inc. and Measurex Corp. Cosmez received his bachelor’s degree in chemistry and a master’s degree in accounting from the California State University of Hayward. He is also a certified public accountant.
