Public Meeting to be Held on PSW Application

Nov. 30, 2001

The Delaware River Basin Commission will host an informational public meeting on December 11, 2001, on a water withdrawal project proposed by the Philadelphia Suburban Water Co.

The meeting, to begin at 7 p.m., will be held at the Chester County Government Services Center, 601 Westtown Rd., West Chester, Pa.

Philadelphia Suburban wants to draw water from the East Branch Brandywine Creek and store it in Cornog Quarry, located on the creek's bank. The water would be used to meet present and future water demand in portions of Chester County.

The meeting will include presentations by the commission, the

applicant, and county and municipal officials. A public comment period will immediately follow the presentations.

For driving directions check the Chester County web site: www.chesco.org.
