Phigenics LLC has won the water testing services contract for 33 U.S. Coast Guard aviation facilities. This contract was awarded by the Aviation Logistics Center, Airworthiness Sustainment Branch, which is at the center of all water testing programs for Coast Guard aircraft.
As stated in the awarded contract, one of the biggest obstacles faced in Coast Guard Aviation is corrosion. By monitoring and providing quality water, corrosion can be minimized and the life of Coast Guard airframes between overhauls can be extended. The goal of this program is to support Coast Guard units to obtain quality water, and guard airframe and power plant systems.
"Meeting the critical asset-intensive needs of government agencies such as the U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Navy, and U.S. Veterans Affairs Administration is a Phigenics core competency," said Mike Doyle, Capt., CEC, USN (ret.), and vice president of operations for Phigenics. "Helping the U.S. Coast Guard extend aviation equipment life by delivering accurate and responsive water testing services fits in perfectly with our rapidly evolving business."
