Parsons Brinckerhoff Names New Area Manager for Indiana

Shelby Swango will manage company operations in the state

Shelby Swango has been named area manager for Indiana at Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global infrastructure strategic consulting, planning, engineering and program/construction management organization.

In her new position, Swango will be responsible for managing Parsons Brinckerhoff’s Indiana operations. Some of the firm’s current projects in the state include I-69 New Terrain Interstate Sections 2 & 3, U.S. 31 Hamilton County, Monroe County Bridge No. 33, Indy DPW Moller Road Bridge Replacement and I-70/465 System Interchange.

Swango has extensive experience managing the design and construction of highway and bridge infrastructure projects. She previously served as supervisor of Parsons Brinckerhoff’s Indianapolis Bridge Group, responsible for managing a variety of projects for state agencies in Indiana as well as county and municipal governments.

Swango holds M.S. and B.S. degrees in civil engineering from Purdue University. She is a member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers and the American Society of Civil Engineers. She is active in the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce, the Indianapolis Transit Advocacy Group, and the Government Affairs Committee of the Indiana chapter of the American Council of Engineering Companies.
