Novazone Appoints Ram Prasad Vice President of Operations

Addition of Industry Veteran Supports Company's Strong Growth in Providing Chemical-Free Solutions for Food and Water Safety

Novazone, a leading provider of innovative ozone-based solutions to improve the freshness and safety of food and water, announced the appointment of Mr. Ram Prasad as vice president of operations. Prasad is responsible for all functions of operations for Novazone and will report directly to Paul White, president and CEO.

Prasad will be instrumental in implementing key operational processes. He brings 15 years of operations, manufacturing and quality experience to Novazone. During his career, he held numerous executive positions in emerging technology markets including aerospace, petrochemical, semiconductor and contract manufacturing.

"Novazone is experiencing rapid growth as a result of increasing global demand for safe and fresh food and water," said White. "Ram's experience will help ensure we efficiently and profitably manage this growth for the benefit and success of our business and our customers alike."

Before joining Novazone, Prasad was vice president of new product operations and business process development for Asyst Technologies, Inc., a leader of integrated automation systems for the semiconductor manufacturing industry. Prior to Asyst, Mr. Prasad was director of operations for Amber Networks, Inc., a start-up of high-end telecom equipment. Previously, Mr. Prasad held management positions at Sieger Engineering, Inc., Applied Materials, Inc. and Whessoe Varec, Inc.

Prasad holds a master's degree in mechanical engineering from New Mexico State University and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Bangalore University, India. He is based in Livermore, Calif. at the company's headquarters.
