IFAT CHINA to Feature Extensive Accompanying Program

May 28, 2008
In addition to technical and scientific conferences, program will feature theme specials, exhibitor presentations and B2B matchmaking for exhibitors

IFAT CHINA, which takes place this year from Sept. 23 to 25 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, is again featuring an extensive, top-quality accompanying program. In addition to technical and scientific conferences, there will be theme specials, exhibitor presentations and B2B matchmaking for exhibitors.

A highlight in the accompanying program is the technical and scientific conferences, focusing on the subjects of water supply, sewage, solid waste, air and renewable energy. The organizers are the German Association for Water, Wastewater and Waste (DWA) and the China Association of Resources Comprehensive Utilization (CARCU).

In the Environment Special, which is being organized in cooperation with the Bavarian State Ministry of the Environment, Public Health and Consumer Protection, experts and government authorities will be presenting the environmental initiatives and technology of the Bavarian Ministry and its partners.

The Asia Special provides visitors with background information and facts on the Asian environmental market and a perspective on possible cooperation between China, Japan, South Korea and Vietnam on environmental issues and problems. This special is being organized in cooperation with the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety.

In addition, there will again be exhibitor presentations at which exhibitors at IFAT CHINA 2008 will have the opportunity to showcase their latest solutions, products and services to the trade visitors.

Exhibitors can also make use of the B2B matchmaking initiative to arrange meetings with potential business partners. This event is being organized by the International Technology Cooperation Network of the AiF – German Federation of Industrial Cooperative Research Association – in cooperation with the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce.

The lecture and discussion program is set to include high-ranking national and international speakers. The events are integrated into the heart of the fair, and simultaneous interpretation will be offered in English and Chinese. Entry to the events in the program is free to participants of IFAT CHINA 2008.
