New Market Development Manager Joins YSI

Rob Ellison joined YSI, Inc. as the global market/business development manager for the company’s line of environmental monitoring products and systems.

Gayle Rominger, senior vice president, said, “Rob is well respected in the field of environmental monitoring and we are fortunate to have him fill this newly created position. We expect Rob to enhance our team by helping YSI expand our environmental business through additional key partnerships and continued sensor technology development.”

In his new role, Ellison will become an interface between environmental scientists and YSI. He will also work with key customers and distributors worldwide to develop continuous monitoring systems for water resources.

Ellison comes to YSI with eight years of increasing experience at Turner Designs, Inc., an environmental instrumentation company specializing in fluorescence instrumentation. He holds a master’s degree in Biological Oceanography from Old Dominion University.

He will work out of his office in Rhode Island, close to YSI’s systems integration subsidiary, Endeco/YSI in Marion, Mass.
