PC Construction announced that Brian Walker, vice president of the company’s Water Treatment business segment, has been named a 2017 Top Young Professional by Engineering-News Record (ENR), a construction trade publication. Walker is one of only nine construction professionals under the age of 40 in New England to receive this annual honor.

Walker joined PC Construction 12 years ago and was promoted in 2016 to vice president, leading the company’s pursuit of new work for the Water and Waste Water division. PC Construction executes complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects to meet municipal needs. Walker has lead projects along the east coast focused on addressing the challenges of aging infrastructure and the effects of climate change.

“I enjoy what I do because our projects make a difference for the communities they serve, whether it’s the country's preeminent thermal hydrolysis project for DC Water or the largest infrastructure project underway in the U.S. for the City of Atlanta,” said Walker. “Our work is all about using innovation and best practices to take on challenges like climate change, flooding and environmental protections.”

Walker, a resident of Fairfax, Vt., also was recognized in late 2016 as a Vermont Business Magazine Rising Star.
