Company underscores the importance of annual industry meeting for national water professionals

Badger Meter will be the first Platinum-level sponsor of the American Water Works Assn. (AWWA) Annual Conference and Exposition, which will take place in Denver, June 9 to 13, 2013. A member of the AWWA since 1929, Badger Meter values the role of the organization as an advocate for safe and sustainable water and a go-to resource for industry professionals.

“We appreciate not only the guidance that AWWA provides for the industry and our business as we advance and improve technologies, but also the support it provides to our utility customers in safely and efficiently distributing water nationwide,” says Richard A. Meeusen, chairman, president and CEO of Badger Meter. “We have been a longtime advocate of the organization and are pleased to be the first Platinum ACE sponsor.”

AWWA’s annual event provides multiple benefits for the water industry including hands-on learning sessions, sharing of knowledge and best practices among peers, networking opportunities and the ability to see new technologies and products firsthand. The theme of this year’s conference is Uniting the World of Water.

In addition to being the exclusive Platinum event sponsor for ACE13, Badger Meter is the official sponsor of the 2013 Meter Madness Contest. This ongoing competition, where water industry professionals race against one another to determine who will be the quickest to accurately assemble a Badger Meter Recordall Disc Series Meter, will culminate at ACE13. Badger Meter also will participate in the ACE13 professional program by leading a technical session.
