RJN Group to Design Collection System Rehabilitation for Texas Town

May 18, 2012
Will use trenchless technology to minimize costs and disturbance

RJN Group Inc. has been retained by the city of North Richland Hills to design the rehabilitation and capacity improvements to a portion of the wastewater collection system. The rehabilitation and improvements come from recommendations made in a Collection System Assessment performed by RJN in 2010.

RJN is utilizing trenchless technology for the rehabilitation design in some locations in order to minimize disturbance to the residents of North Richland Hills. Trenchless methods are also being considered in order to save on the cost of construction. Approximately 8,200 linear ft of sanitary sewer is being rehabilitated as part of an SSO initiative program volunteered by the city to prevent excessive inflow/infiltration from entering the system.

The project is initiating this month and bidding for construction is scheduled to begin in November of this year.
