Koch Membrane Systems Hires New Sales Manager for Australia and New Zealand

Wilmington, Mass. – The Koch Membrane Systems division (KMS) of Koch Australia Pty., Ltd. has hired Peter Makris as sales manager for its Australia and New Zealand territory. In this role, Makris will be responsible for driving future business growth and managing customer relations in the food, dairy, beverage, industrial water and wastewater sectors.

“We are very pleased to have Peter on the KMS team and are confident that his experience in the water treatment and filtration industry will enable him to provide our customers with cost-effective membrane solutions that improve the bottom line,” said John Morrison, a director of Koch Australia and senior vice president of sales and marketing for Koch Membrane Systems, Inc.

Makris brings to the company more than 20 years of marketing and technical experience in the areas of water treatment, membrane filtration and separations technology. He has an extensive background in channel management and hands-on experience in various industries.

Mark Forbes, KMS’ regional manager, said, “The market for membrane technology is growing in the region. Peter’s experience will contribute to the growth of our business and to the support of the wider customer base.”

Prior to joining KMS, Makris worked with GE Water & Process Technologies as the ANZ district manager for membranes and equipment.
