The company experienced a 20% year-over-year growth in the oil and gas industry in 2012

Kepware Technologies, a software development company focused on communications for automation, announced its strong 2012 growth in the industrial automation markets, including manufacturing, oil and gas, power distribution and other automation industries that depend on reliable, real-time and historical data to optimize operations and improve reporting.

Kepware realized an increase of 20% year-over-year growth in the oil and gas industry in 2012. This growth is attributed to marketing and business development efforts surrounding new, industry-specific communications solutions for the upstream, midstream and downstream markets.

Kepware strengthened its international commitments across Brazil, Italy, Spain and Southeast Asia, by establishing new preferred distributor partnerships with Exata Sistemas de Automação, EFA Automazione, Logitek and Allied Solutions, respectively. Plans for 2013 international growth are focused on China, Japan, Australia and Germany. To meet these goals, Kepware is adding additional international resources and offering a hands-on training program in regions such as Asia and Europe.

“This has been a great year for Kepware. We’ve seen impressive growth in new vertical and international markets in 2012, and we have a strong plan in place for leveraging this momentum in 2013,” said Brett Austin, Kepware’s CFO/COO. “We are creating a culture at Kepware that invests in the talents and professional growth of our employees. In 2013, we will continue to add new resources to our team, and have already begun an expansion of our Portland, Maine headquarters. We strive to be a great place to work, and a great company to do business with.”

The company’s achievements throughout 2012 were underscored by accolades, naming Kepware to the “2012 Deloitte Technology Fast 500” with a five-year, 155% growth and also naming it as one of the “Best Places to Work” in Maine by the Maine State Council of the Society for Human Resources Management. Kepware also received numerous product awards including the 2012 Engineer’s Choice Award and the First Team Supplier in Automation World’s 2012 Leadership in Automation.
