Goulds Pumps, a subsidiary of ITT, announced the shipment of the one millionth ANSI Process Pump, proving that the 3196 pump model continues to be the industry standard after 45 years.
Introduced in 1961 as the original Goulds 3196 ANSI Standard Dimension Process Pump, this pump model evolved quickly into the top selling pump of its kind worldwide. It continues to be recognized as a workhorse in chemical, petrochemical, pulp and paper, primary metals, food and beverage, and general-industry processes. As proven by shear numbers and numerous brand choice studies, the Goulds 3196 is the most popular pump in the world.
Today, Goulds ships thousands of 3196 pumps each month from its manufacturing facilities in Seneca Falls, N.Y., Axminster, United Kingdom, Choongbuk, Korea, Hidalgo, Mexico and Shanghai, PRC.
