Company pledges $100,000 to fight water poverty

Water For People announced a new commitment of $100,000 from the IPS Corp. and recognized the company as a new global sponsor. The gift will provide support for Water For People’s programs across 11 developing countries.

IPS Corp., a provider of manufacturing products for the plumbing, construction, manufacturing and plastic fabrication industries under recognized brand names such as WELD-ON and WATER-TITE, said it is excited about supporting Water For People’s mission of working “toward a world where no one dies of water- or sanitation-related disease.”

“We have a long history of supplying products involved in the development of water and sanitation systems, and we wanted to increase our commitment to the worldwide community,” said Eric Bescoby, CEO of IPS Corp. “We chose Water For People because we support the strategic plan and philosophy of philanthropy practiced by the organization.”

This pledge marks the first time IPS Corp. is committing resources of this scope to a global nonprofit organization.

“This pledge is very significant for us,” Bescoby said. “And we look forward to working with Water For People and supporting their efforts to bring clean water and sanitation to the developing world.”

“We are very excited about IPS Corp.’s commitment and how it will enable us to transform lives through sustainable water and sanitation services,” said Katie Scolari Borden, director of resource development at Water For People. “Our work is made possible by generous supporters like IPS Corp. who understand the powerful role that accessible clean water plays in building strong communities.”
