Industrial Defender, Inc., has announced that the company has obtained approval from the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) under contract 35F-0617U to provide professional security services for critical infrastructure industrial control systems to the federal government.

Industrial Defender Professional Security Services are the trusted risk assessment solution for critical infrastructure industrial control systems. It is part of the Cyber Risk Protection Lifecycle solution, which enables the efficient assessment, mitigation and management of cyber security risk within the critical infrastructure network domain. The company’s comprehensive, noninvasive risk assessment practice maximizes operational reliability and availability by uncovering system vulnerabilities before they become disruptive to the operation.

“With the passage of regulatory compliance mandates including NERC CIP for the bulk electric system in North America and CFATS for U.S. chemical facilities, regulations have underscored the growing interest in securing the nation’s mission critical industrial control systems and SCADA network environments,” said Brian M. Ahern, president and CEO, Industrial Defender. “Receiving GSA approval enables the federal government to leverage Industrial Defender’s depth of knowledge and expertise in industrial control systems/SCADA vulnerabilities and strategies for risk mitigation.”
