San Luis and Delta-Mendota Water Authority Chooses Synergen EAM/CMMS

Strategic California Water Agency Sought a Vendor Partner Approach

The San Luis and Delta-Mendota Water Authority has chosen the Synergen Series(TM) from Synergen, Inc., a leading provider of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Computerized Maintenance Management (CMMS) solutions, as its EAM/CMMS solution of choice, rapidly deploying the system in just over 90 days.

The San Luis and Delta-Mendota Water Authority (SLDMWA) is a Joint Powers Authority in California comprised of 32 water agencies. Its creation and management have been key to the continued success of the water supply, quality and development of the highly productive central California agricultural industry. Its centerpiece is the 116.5 mile long Delta-Mendota Canal which delivers three million acre feet of water to more than two million acres of the fertile central valley, a major contributor to California's economy.

"This is a large infrastructure management project," commented Dave Langlois, director of operations and maintenance at SLDMWA. "Our former CMMS vendor was going to require us to upgrade our system at a significant cost. Following a competitive bid and exhaustive selection process, we found Synergen to be far more cost-effective and a superior product in terms of functionality, flexibility and ease-of-use. From the start, our strategic asset management vision was to select a solution and a company that would evolve with us, not leave us behind when it came time for product enhancements and release upgrades."

"The San Luis and Delta-Mendota Water Authority is a unique project in that it affects such a large geographic area which also happens to significantly contribute to California's economy," said Richard MacDonald, president and CEO of Synergen. "We're pleased to be involved with an organization such as SLDMWA that values a partnership approach to a client relationship as much as Synergen does."
