Storm Water Solutions Virtual Expo 2014 Sets New Records

May 1, 2014
A record number of more than 900 unique visitors attended the virtual expo

More than 1,600 storm water and erosion control professionals registered for the 3rd annual Storm Water Solutions Virtual Expo. The live online event, held April 2, was hosted by Scranton Gillette Communications’ Storm Water Solutions magazine, StormwaterONE and the Intl. Erosion Control Assn. A record number of more than 900 unique visitors toured the 21 exhibitor booths and tuned in from the comfort of their offices to hear two keynote presentations and participate in a moderated chat session.

Virtual expo exhibits offered live interaction between attendees and exhibitors. In a post-expo attendees survey, respondents noted the ease of visiting vendors and downloading product information. They also expressed appreciation that the expo was free, required no travel or travel expenses, and allowed attendees to come and go at their convenience.

Attendees who viewed on-demand webinars earned professional development hours credits and commented on the quality of both the speakers and the topics. When asked to rate the value of the Virtual Expo, 85.6% ranked it good to excellent.

In a similar survey of exhibitors, 100% of the respondents rated the value of the Virtual Expo as good to excellent; 75% said it helped their company generate leads; and 100% listed maintaining company image and exposure as their reason for participation.

The 2014 SWS Virtual Expo is archived online through June 2014.
