Rob MacLean, president of California American Water, will participate in a panel discussion during the Energy Central Smart Cities Conference on Nov. 4, 2014 in La Jolla, Calif.
MacLean is joining others in a session titled, “The Water/Energy Nexus” to discuss the interconnection and illustrate how electric and water utilities have shared advanced technologies and integrated parallel paths toward improved electric and water infrastructure.
As the first U.S. water or wastewater utility to join EPA’s Climate Leaders program, American Water is working on addressing the water-energy nexus challenge.
