W.L. Hailey and Company, established in 1925 and Nashville’s second oldest contractor, is celebrating its 75th anniversary this month.
"This anniversary serves as a pedestal from which we can see our growth potential based on the success of our past," said David Waller, president and CEO of W.L. Hailey. "It is a very proud year in our company’s history"
Hailey‚s revenues have more than doubled over the last five years. It isranked among the top 55 largest environmental firms in the U.S. and is the twentieth largest Wastewater/Stormwater company in the U.S. Its annual revenues in 1999 were $72 million. The company specializes in tunneling; water and wastewater treatment facility construction and expansion; marine construction; pipelines; and pipe rehabilitation.
Recently, Hailey announced plans to open an Atlanta office to join its existing full-service offices in Nashville and Birmingham. Hailey will open its doors in Georgia in November with an existing $30 million in contracts secured.
Fast-track and design/build have become staple construction approaches for Hailey over the past decade. These two specific processes allow Hailey project managers to begin construction soon after contracts are successfully bid, and continue to build in conjunction with the design of the structure or system.
