Event to be held Sept. 30 to Oct. 4

Registration and housing opened for WEFTEC 2017, the Water Environment Federation’s (WEF) 90th annual technical exhibition and conference. Scheduled for Sept. 30 to Oct. 4 at McCormick Place, WEF is celebrating its 90th event in Chicago, the site of the first annual meeting that would evolve into today's WEFTEC—the world’s largest annual water quality event.

Representing all facets of water management, this year’s conference (Sept. 30 to Oct. 4) and exhibition (Oct. 2 to 4) includes more than 100 technical sessions, 26 workshops, local facility tours, numerous events, and more than 1,000 water companies who will display the latest developments, research, solutions and technologies.

A wide range of topics within more than 30 focus areas allow attendees to design their own unique learning experience with the opportunity to earn continuing education credits. Attendees will also find increased opportunities to interact directly with global water experts through mobile sessions, product demonstrations, the Innovation Showcase, the Stormwater Congress, and more than a dozen specially designed pavilions.

Other conference highlights include the Opening General Session and the Great Water Cities session; the Mix with Members reception; the annual community outreach project; special sessions for the oil and gas industry, as well as the return of the Interactive Knowledge Exchange - IKE; poster sessions, the design competition, the 30th annual Operations Challenge competition, and more.
