Itron to Present Water Management Solutions at 6th World Water Forum

Itron Inc., a provider of resource management solutions for the energy and water industries, announced its participation in the 6th World Water Forum, which will take place in Marseille, France, March 12 to 17. The World Water Forum is the largest meeting focused on water in the world. The theme for the 2012 forum is “Time for Solutions,” and the conference goals include developing initiatives for the effective implementation of tangible solutions and elevating the cause of water conservation on the political agendas of the 180 countries represented. From monitoring of water infrastructure to detection of leaks, Itron enables utilities to use data collected from metering systems to reduce operating costs and optimize supply in relation to demand. The overall goal is to help conserve water resources and improve access to water for the largest number of people around the world. “Water is essential to life.
