Steven Coker to discuss cleaning of reverse osmosis membranes

Dow Water & Process Solutions, a business unit of The Dow Chemical Co. and a global supplier of technologies for purification and separation processes, will showcase its knowledge during the South Central Membrane Assn. Spring Conference in Corpus Christi, Texas, Feb. 22 to 24, 2010.

As part of the Feb. 23 session, “Membrane Operations,” Dow Water & Process Solutions’ Steven Coker will discuss the cleaning of reverse osmosis membranes at 10:45 a.m. in the Omni Bayfront Hotel. The presentation will discuss fouling mechanisms, which are most commonly experienced with reverse osmosis membrane plants, as well as the most effective and efficient cleaning methods to maximize the useful life of reverse osmosis membranes. Frequent flaws in the design and operation of cleaning equipment will also be covered.
